American Pharmacists Month
October is the start of American Pharmacists Month , a celebration in support of pharmacists around the country. While the American Pharmacists Association has always celebrated the accomplishments of pharmacists, October is the time to recognize pharmacists’ contributions to health care and all they do for their communities.

Take your Medicine, Americans Week
This campaign has been designed to help educate health professionals, patients and consumers about the problem of not taking prescription drugs and over the counter medicine.
October 12th
World Hospice and Palliative Care Day
People from around the world who have been impacted by a life-limiting illness — either personally or by supporting a loved one — will be making their voices heard, asking policy makers to pay attention to prioritize palliative care policies and services. Further, people who have been standing in solidarity with them — local leaders, volunteers, advocates, clinicians — will be volunteering their time to amplify this public message: Palliative Care: it’s “My Care, My Right.”
October 16th
National Boss Day
For all employees to honor their bosses. Patricia Bays Haroski originated this event in 1958 in honor of her own boss, who also happened to be her father.
October 18th – 24th
National Pharmacy Week acknowledges the invaluable contributions that pharmacists and technicians make to patient care in hospitals, outpatient clinics and other healthcare settings.

National Pharmacy Technician Day
Each year the pharmacy community takes a day to especially celebrate the pharmacy technician. We encourage employers, educators, organizations and the public to find ways to appreciate the important work technicians do every day.
