October is the start of American Pharmacists Month , a celebration in support of pharmacists around the country. While the American Pharmacists Association  has always celebrated the accomplishments of pharmacists, October is the time  to recognize pharmacists’ contributions to health care and all they do for their communities.

World Hospice and Palliative Care Day

People from around the world who have been impacted by a life-limiting illness — either personally or by supporting a loved one — will be making their voices heard, asking policy makers to pay attention to prioritize palliative care policies and services. Further, people who have been standing in solidarity with them — local leaders, volunteers, advocates, clinicians — will be volunteering their time to amplify this public message: Palliative Care: it’s “My Care, My Right.”

National Boss Day

For all employees to honor their bosses.  Patricia Bays Haroski originated this event in 1958 in honor of her own boss, who also happened to be her father.
